Friday Letters

Y'all should be very proud of me... I made my own social icon buttons. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice on how to make them, I think they turned out okay! I am going to join a new link up today. I always  love meeting new blog friends! The link up is called Friday Letters and you can join the fun too by going here.

I am very excited to show off my new nephew today! (He is actually my boyfriend's nephew, but we have been together for almost 9 years so I think it's appropriate to call him my nephew too!)
 Tripp Stephens
Born: August 6, 2012
9 lbs 10 oz

Dear Tripp:
You are the cutest and most precious baby. I want to come over and hold you all the time! I think you are growing up too fast, you will be two weeks old on Monday. I can't wait to experience all your firsts this year- Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.
Ride home and first night at home
All of these pictures were taken by a local photographer!
She is a great job!
Isn't he precious?!!

Dear Summer,
I miss you already! This is my last post before school starts :( The summer has ruined me. I think I should be traveling, sleeping late and going shopping everyday!

Thanks for stopping by!
Leave a comment to let me know if you are from the Friday Letters link up!

Changes in Life

Change is something we all have to face every now and then. I have some new changes on the blog and in life! What do you think of the new blog look? I have been wanting a new design for a few months now but I decided to bite the bullet and actually do something about it. I love the banner because I am huge quatrefoil lover!

I still want to do a few minor changes, but so far I like it. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on how do make the Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest Icons? I have some of they are all spaced a part and I am looking for them all to be side by side and easy to find. I would really like to find a somewhat cheap way to make them, if not free! So please let me know about that! :)

As far as life changes.. I start back to school with all teachers today. I have been on contract for a week already, but I have been working in my room putting up bulletin boards and working on the class's syllabuses. Here in Alabama we had a new law passed that school could not start until August 20th because they wanted people to still travel to Alabama to visit the beach and other venues. I must say I enjoyed the longer summer, although I did attend a lot of meetings. The only down side is that we lost a lot of our holidays and teacher work days because we are still getting out of school May 24th. I will miss sleeping in and going shopping, but I will be glad to get back in the routine and get everything going again.
A few of the thing in my classroom.
I guess you can tell the themes are owls and chevron!
I just know that fall means football!! That is a whole other post in itself!
I hopefully will get in the groove of posting. I will be going back to school to finish my certification, so I know it will be a busy first semester. Stay tuned to see my new nephew, pics of Polo and all the traveling I did this summer!

Today I linked up with Melissa at the GFC Blog Hop so if you are visiting I am glad you stopped by! Make sure to follow and leave a comment and I will do the same on your blog!

Beach Waves

Greeting from Panama City, Florida! I have enjoyed seeing my family, shopping and of course the beach! I may or may not have gotten extremely burnt today :( Oil sheen is fabulous at bringing on a tan quicker, but it doesn't feel very good during the burnt stages. I will keep this short and sweet since I am on vacation, but don't forget to enter my giveaway ending tomorrow. You can find all the details here. It is a great giveaway and it is easy to win! :)

Tuesday Tidbits

Hey guys! So sorry I am been MIA for a few days. I have had so much going on, but hopefully things will be calm for the next few days. I know I have missed a lot this past week because I haven't even had time to check up on y'all. I will get on that asap!

This past Saturday I took the Praxis. I will be honest and say it was a lot harder than I expected. I won't find out my score for 3 weeks so I will be very anxious until then.
Also, this weekend I finally had enough with my phone and decided to go get the..
iPhone 4s! I love it, I wish I had gotten it months ago.
I bought this purple and white otter box as well.
Now I just need suggestions for iphone apps!
If you have any apps or just iphone tips please comment me! :)

This past week I got to spend some time with Wesley's sisters from South Dakota. They came down for their spring break and we had so much fun!
Ruby, Sarah, their friend Destinee and myself
me and my love
Me with Wes's cousins
;)
Kristy's photography skills, ha :)
Such a fun week.

What do you think about the time change?
I love having the extra hour at night, but I am not a fan of getting up and it being pitch dark.

As I am writing this I am watching The Bachelor Finale
I can't wait to see if he chooses the one he has been rumored to have chosen.
If you did watch it what did you think?
Do you think he made the right decision?

For those of you who get a spring break, do you have anything exciting planned?
Maybe I will be making a trip to...
the beach!

I know this post was really random, but I wanted to catch you up on the things going on in my life! Stay tuned I will most likely have a giveaway coming up soon!  Have a great Tuesday! :)

IT'S OK

Happy Thursday! I thought I would play along with the "It's OK" blog link up. You just list the things that people or yourself might think is bad, but you are going to say it is or it was ok! I definitely have enough of the "It's ok" situations in my life every week, ha! To play along you link up with Neely at A Complete Waste of Makeup. Have a great day! :)

IT'S OK... due to being out work on Monday the rest of my week as been
kinda dull and I just don't feel like doing anything!

IT'S OK... that I love watching The Bachelor even though the girls get on
my nerves. I am soo excited, I read everyday that Emily Maynard is the next bachelorette!
IT'S OK...I got Zaxbys last night even though I had left overs at home

IT'S OK... that I bought some cute Valentine's Day decor
even though I said I wasn't going to spend anymore money this week

IT'S OK... that I am probably going to see my dog in Tuscaloosa this weekend
IT'S OK... that I started the 11 facts about me post and I got too tired
to finish so maybe tomorrow :)

IT'S OK... my mom and I were watching The Help last night and I fell asleep

IT'S OK... that I am behind on grading papers

IT'S OK... that I really want to buy this cup!
I loved playing!
Do any of you suffer from the same "It's OK" moments as me?
Link up! :)

Simple 3 Ingredient January Recipe!

TGIF! In honor of the extremely cold weather that has come to Alabama I thought I would share a favorite recipe of mine.. and it just happens to deal with snowmen. It is not looking like Alabama will get snow this year because as soon as it gets cold, it turns warm the next day, crazy winter. Seriously it is not supposed to get out of the 40s tomorrow and then I saw by Tuesday it is supposed to be 65!! Talk about people getting sickness!

Ok enough about the weather, let's move to the subject of the matter... Ritz Cracker Snowmen!
I am sure you have all had these simple yet amazingly good cookies/crackers. What's even better is that you don't even have to use an oven.
Aren't they cute?
My mom and I made these cute little snowmen for a family Christmas parties, but snowmen doesn't have to be just Christmas related. To make these cookies it only takes 3 ingredients, how easy is that?!

Ritz Cracker Cookies
I box Ritz Crackers
1 jar Peanut Butter
1 package Almond Bark ( I prefer white chocolate)
Spread peanut butter between two Ritz Crackers and sandwich together. Melt the squares of Almond Bark in the microwave until melted; stirring well. Dip the crackers in the chocolate and place on a cookie sheet. Remove when the chocolate has hardened.
If you want snowmen take gel containers to "paint" the face on!
I told you it was simple!
Have you ever made these?
What design did you make on them?

Christmas Presents Galore

Can you believe Christmas is already over? It seems like it goes by faster and faster each year. I thought it was weird when I went shopping the day after Christmas and they already had Valentines stuff out! I know a lot of people take down there Christmas stuff as soon as it is over. I have even known of some people taking it down Christmas night! My mom has always left our tree and decorations up until New Years Day and I love it like that. It only makes sense since we usually celebrate Christmas with some of my family who live out of town the days following Christmas. When do you take your Christmas down?

Let me show you all the great things I got this Christmas!
Santa did good
giftcards, cash and dvr not included
The gifts from everyone else! :)
I love everything!
Look how cute these ornaments are that my cousin painted!
At church with my love!
At church with my grandparents and brother
With mom- dad must have still been inside
At my aunt's with Polo (dressed as Santa)
Polo, Jake and myself!

What was your favorite thing you received for Christmas?

Hello friends, I hope your Christmas was as wonderful as mine was! I was blessed beyond measure with all the gifts I received. I will save the post where I show you all my presents for tomorrow, but I can tell you that I am getting DVR hooked up today! That was number one on my Santa list. I have missed having it so bad. Also later this week I want to show you all the great things I received from my stocking stuffer swap and my Gogo Girlfriend box.

I had to go ahead and show you this picture of our dog Polo, he was ready for Santa
