February Birchbox

Here it is March 6th and I haven't shown you my February Birchbox!
February's theme was: Spotlight
"This month's samples are designed to highlight your awesomeness."
I liked a few things in my box, but overall I wasn't excited about it.
I saw some people got some Zoya nail polish.. jealous!
Here are the products up close:
Jour Luminizing Moisture Tint
I believe mine is a little darker than this.
This might be my favorite product from this month
It is something you can wear with anything!
Full size: $38
Dermalogica-daily microfoliant
I haven't tried this product yet, but I need to.
It is a powder form and it says just mix it with water to get rid of dead cells
Full size: $50
Eye Rock: designer liner
This product is one I am not too excited about.
I do not really go to extremes with my eyeliner,
but I guess it wouldn't hurt to play around with it.
Full size, 2 packs of 4: $13
Colorescience Pro- touch and go travel puff
Mine came in a little packet  and I have yet to open it.
It says it is to keep your skin shine free while on the go.
Full size: $50

This was everything except a bonus pink heart nail file and music download.
The heart file is very cute!
So what did you guys think?
What did you get in your Birchbox?
Do anyone of you happen to use any of these products?
Have a great Tuesday! :)

My First GoGogirlfriend Box

Well I told you I signed up for GoGogirlfriend right? I had never heard of it until a few weeks ago. It is a monthly makeup sample service almost like Birchbox, if you are familiar with it. I really liked Birchbox, but I did feel like I wasn't getting enough for my money. So being the unemployed college student that I was at the time I cancelled. I saw one a friends blog that she has received a GoGogirlfriend box and I was shocked at how much stuff she got in her box so I thought I would give it a shot. I would say that the stuff wasn't as "high-end" as Birchbox, but overall I was satisfied.
Here are the things I received:
{2} e.l.f eyelash curler
extra: Almond soap & floating candles

I know I received more items with this company than I did with Birchbox. I will stick around for a few months to see what I get. With it being Christmas time I haven't had time to test these products out, but when I do I will have a post on it.

I also wanted to show you my two favorite products I have been trying out for a few months.
Pangea Organics and CeraVe moisturizer
I love this toner. It smells good and seem to work well!
I got it from a former Birchbox
I got a sample brand of this at the Southern Women show and of course knowing me I will take any kind of freebie. haha I have been using the AM & PM moisturizer and love them! I can't wait to go buy the big bottles. I noticed the box was  14 dollars at our local walmart.
Do anyone of you use Cetaphil? If so, do you love it?

What did you think of my first GoGogirlfriend box? If you want to get more information or sign up order  form I will post it here!

Anyone Want to Share Makeup Advice?

Happy Tuesday! I am thankful to see new followers :) Yesterday my grandmother and I went shopping and we shopped till we dropped. I got several new shirts and a cute pair of shoes.. I will post pictures later in the week with the new Jessica Simpson bag that I got this past weekend. Also, last night I went with my Sunday School class to the local mexican restaurant to eat and chat. It was fun to get together. I meant to take pictures and totally forgot!

I have been searching makeup tutorials online, mainly on YouTube because I feel like my makeup is just the "same ole-same ole" and I want to try something different. I am not an expert at all when it comes to makeup so I like to see what other people are doing and to see if it would work for me. Two of my favorites to subscribe to are these two ladies.. Alba and Emily. They have really good advice and tips. Emily posts very often and seems to have a post for anything you can think of. She even did a post where she went to the dollar store and bought a lot of non-name brand items and compared them to the name brands.. it was really interesting, you can watch it here.

I would say my favorite makeup item is mascara, I can never leave home without it on. Sometimes I just feel like my lashes can never get long enough! I bought a pair of false lashes a long time ago, but never could figure them out so I ended up throwing them away. After watching several videos on YouTube I decided to try them again.
I decided to go with Select Lash from Dollar General because they were very cheap.. $1.25. I didn't want to buy a more expensive pair when really these would be my "testers" I wasn't thrilled with the results, but I know it will take time to learn the right amount of glue and how not to make a mess with it.
I would love to try out these looks and be able to do them right. Do any of you have any suggestions for applying false lashes or know of any blogs or websites I should checkout? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)
