Random Thoughts

I hope you all are having a great day, the weekend is fast approaching! :) Here are some random facts about my week.

I got my license renewed. Of course I hated my picture :( Does anyone ever like their picture?



I found a book this week that I was interested in and saw that the movie will be coming out in August. It is called One Day, has anyone heard of it? It looks like it will be really good.

My little cake business is picking up. I have had to actually turn people away because I already had too many projects going on for that week. I have been asked to make barn animal cupcakes for a birthday party. I am a little nervous because I have never had to shape fondant like this:

I saw where former Auburn quarterback, Cam Newton has a GQ article coming out. I think he is an amzing athlete, but I am not going to say I am his biggest fan, afterall I am a Bama fan ;) He was asked about many things pertaining to football including race and I loved one of his quotes.

"Sir," he says with granite certainty, "it all comes down to whether a person wins or loses. I don't bring race into the game, 'cause then you're talking about excuses. I. Hate. Excuses. Excuses are a disease."

I really like how he said excuses are just a disease, I think that is so true. You can read the whole article here
