{1} I am left handed

Sometimes it can be a pain, but I like being unique!

{2} I love the quatrefoil print- I didn't know the name of it till a few weeks ago

I seem to have an obsession buying things in this print

It was nice to walk out the door and hear the waves

It really is a pain to go by my middle  name, but I am named after my grandmother

Staying Thankful

{1} I was awarded the Versatile Blogger Award by sweet Shelby from Sweet Confessions. I will post more about this soon.

{2} I am thankful that I have worked all week. I know that might seem weird, but while I am looking for a job and working on my masters I have been subbing at my former high school.

{3} I am thankful that my brother is coming home this weekend! Since he has moved off to college we don't keep in touch like we should. So I am glad I will get to spend some time with him. 

{4} I am thankful my little baking business is still going strong. I have had a cake order and an order to do a batch of those homemade Butterfingers! My boyfriend took some to work and they were a hit! Make sure to get the recipe here if you haven't tried making them yet.

{5} I am thankful that our local craft shows are coming up. Usually it is Friday and Saturday and they close the street through town and have booths set up all up and down the street. I just love crafting! Now that I have found Pinterest I find things I want to make everyday!

{6} I am thankful tomorrow is Friday!

One Lovely Blog Award

Last week I was honored to receive the "One Lovely Blog" award from Life with Elizabeth! I am supposed to share 7 facts about myself and then pass on to 15 other lovely blogs!

1. I love to decorate and plan for parties. I love when someone in my family or friends have a birthday because I like to go all out! I would love to plan parties for a living!

2. I want to open my own bakery. Since I have been decorating cakes and cupcakes I would love to open my own shop. I know this will not happen anytime soon, but it's ok to dream :)

3. For the next 3 weeks I will be employed as a transfer advisor at a community college, but since the job is based on a grant and it will end in the next few weeks, I will then be unemployed :( I have really enjoyed this job and hopefully I will be able to find one like it very soon!

4. I am obsessed with elephants! While attending school at the University of Alabama I would buy stuffed elephants and now I have a large collection. Here is the latest one from my Easter basket! He is sooo cute :)

5. I am excited that May is just around the corner! May is one of my most favorite months besides December because it always means school is getting out, summer is approaching and last but not least... My Birthday!!! Yesterday, actually was a month until my birthday and I forgot to post about it. I take birthdays very serious. haha If I could I would most definitely celebrate all month long! I did come up with celebrating "birthday eve" :)

6. I am a tv addict. Living away from friends and family this past year has been a little bit lonely so I consoled myself with tv shows. Each night I would have certain ones to watch to make the time go by faster. I just recently started watching The Vampire Diaries and love it! A few shows I could never get enough of are.. Friends, Sex & the City, The Hills, Grey's Anatomy, The Bachelor, One Tree Hill and several more. 

7. I am obsessed with bows! I don't necessarily wear them in my hair, but I really do like them. My friends have bought me rings, necklaces, shirts, etc adorned with bows. I posted my new sunglasses that have bows on the side here.  I recently found a pair I want to get from Sick For Cute:

1) I have a great family

I have been so blessed with a wonderful family. My parents raised me and my brother is a christian household and we have so much to be thankful for. My parents have always worked hard for our family to make sure we always had what we needed. My dad is a self-employed heavy duty mechanic and my mom is a high school home economics teacher. I have one brother who is three years younger than me. He is a sophomore in college right now. He followed in my footsteps to Snead State Community College and he will transfer to UA this fall!

2) I love my wonderful boyfriend

Wesley and I have been together for 7 years! We started dating when I was a sophomore in high school and he was a senior! He has been there with me through so many things in my life, I don't know what I would do without him. :)

3) I have the best friends a girl could ask for!

While in college I had the best two best roommates, they are my best friends! I had known Marsha for about a year before we roomed together and I had known Emily for many years. We love to all get together with my brother, Dillon, LaTiegra, Kayla and Kirby to play games!

I am also loving my new blogger friends!!

4) Unique fact: I am left handed

I am the odd one in my family who is left handed. My great grandparents were left handed and I have a great uncle who is too so I guess I took after them. I have loved being left handed. I think of it as a special trait that not many people have!

5) I graduated from the University of Alabama

I graduated with a communications degree last May. I am so glad I chose bama. It was a great experience and I am excited for my brother to be there this fall!

6) My hobby is decorating cakes & cupcakes!

I took a cake decorating class last spring and I fell in love with it. I consider myself a beginner, but I am learning so much!

7) Sports

My favorite sport would have to be football! I  I especially love going to Bama football games! I have also been to several away games. The best game I have ever been to was the 2009 National Championship in Pasadena. My brother and I went with our uncle and his family to the championship and it was so much fun! We spent a whole week sight seeing and then went to the game on Thursday night.
