Misc. Monday.. Ole Miss, Picnics, Craft Shows

Today I am linking up with lowercase letters for Miscellany Monday!

What a great weekend, I stayed super busy doing fun things!

{1} Friday my mom and I went to the Southern Women's show in Birmingham. I love going to this because you get to shop, go to fashion shows, watch people cook, etc. We always have  a lot of fun!

{2} Saturday I went with my boyfriend to his company picnic. It was the for the southeast region so it was in Mississippi. I always love a road trip! I forgot to take pictures at the picnic, but we did stop by Ole Miss and walked around. I had never been there, but the campus was beautiful! We also saw a gas station called The Brittany Store (it was even spelled right), so we stopped and I had my picture made.

{3} Sunday after church, Wes, his sister and brother in law and I went to a craft show at Homestead Hollow. It is always fun just to walk around and see everything there. They have some exhibits to show what it was like to live in the older days. We walked through a house that was like what they lived in on Little House on the Prairie. After we left Homestead we went to the movies to see Real Steel and at first I was not looking forward to it, but it really was a great movie. 

{4} I also got to spend some time with this little man this weekend, my cousin Jake

{5} It was Emily's birthday Saturday, but Marsha and I went and celebrated it Thursday night at one of her favorite places to eat sushi. I will post more pics of that later. 

{6} Alabama won again, Roll Tide! This upcoming Saturday they will be in Oxford to play Ole Miss, I am still excited I got to see Ole Miss this past weekend!

Misc. Monday & Hart of Dixie Preview

How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun? My weekend involved a lot of football! I am linking up with lowercase letters today to join in Miscellany Monday. I hope you will link up with me too.

{1} Alabama is now 4-0 for the season after beating the Arkansas Razorbacks Saturday night! Bama was really on fire this week and I loved every minute of it!

{2} Look how cute this dog is, he looks like a little bear! My boyfriend's cousin was surprised with it this weekend and I fell in love with it. He is a Yorkie-Poodle. Now I think I have dog fever!

{3} I can't wait for Hart of Dixie to premiere tonight at 8 on the CW. It is about a doctor, Zoe Hart(Rachel Bilson) who has a set back that sends her to a small town in Alabama to continue her practice. It looks like it will be a great show and I love they are using Alabama- although sometimes when people show Alabama in movies and tv shows they make us Alabamians looks really bad-- it is not that bad here, promise!

{4} Everyone has loved the homemade Butterfingers I made last week. Make sure you get the recipe here, if you missed it!

{5} I really need to go see The Help before it leaves theaters! I read the book and really liked it and I have heard nothing but great reviews on the movie. Hopefully I will see it soon!

Misc. Monday.. Weekend Randoms

I hope you all had a great weekend! Thanks again for all the sweet comments regarding my 100th post. :)

I thought I would participate in Miscellany Monday with Carissa from lowercase letters to share my random thoughts.

I am glad to say my friends and family are doing well after the scary weekend with Hurricane Irene. I hear there is a lot of flooding, but so happy they are safe!

Did anyone watch Mtv's VMAs last night? I totally forgot about it, but I plan on watching the re-run soon. I did hear some big news, that Beyonce and Jay Z are expecting their first child! Exciting!

I believe my 2 year contract with Verizon is coming up in September and I am trying to decide if I want to get the iphone 4 or wait for the iphone 5 to arrive. Do any of you have the iphone with verizon? Would you recommend it? 

I heard a good song last night, it was called "I'm Gonna Love You Through It" by Martina McBride. It was very motivational! 

Dave Barnes is coming to Birmingham this week and I forgot to buy tickets!! I realized it today and was bummed :( Maybe next time!
